Juniper Root cutting-

I just took pretty Large amounts of foilage and branches off of my contest entry...and forgot what i should do in the logn run with the roots....
Isnt it if you take foilage off..even it out with roots.
Knowing i took about 3 shovel loads of brush from the tree ( The tree at the beggining was massive a 32$ japanese garden Juniper) And it has a massive root structure....totally fills up the plastic pot it is in. SO how much would any one sugest me talking off from roots...or will it not hurt just to let it be till spring...or is now actuly a good time to take some roots away to even out the foilage?
Thanks-

ST,

I am not an entrant in the contest, but I believe that the purpose of the contest is to determine who can do the "best" initial work - by themselves. I believe that if you have assistance with your tree, even from a forum, it might be considered cheating. There is a ton of info on this forum, as well as the others, and in books about root pruning and foliage pruning. It might behoove you to do a simple search and learn for yourself this one time...

The questions was just for the tree i am using for the contest...not for the contest itself.
Just a questions for that perticular tree ..perhaps after contest.
