Question Jinning Rosemary?

Hi,

I received a weeping rosemary plant that I have trimmed and am hoping to make some sort of "bonsai" out of it. I have trimmed all but two shoots from the trunk structure and kept a few inches of the other shoots coming off of the trunk in the hopes that maybe I could jin. Does rosemary have the right type of "wood" in order to be able to jin?

Thanks

Dave

Yes rosemary has very hard wood. An jining suits it nicely. When you cut back look for your life lines.

I have found that once the bark is stripped, rosemary has a very nicely textured wood. I uses a relativly soft wire brush, in the same direction as the grain to enhance the texture.

I found this out when a rosemary of mine died last year and i had a play myself.
