JBP Seedlings - A Nursery?

I'm in the market for about 20 or so JBP seedlings-3 year old stock.

Does anyone have a good supplier in Australia pref. New South Wales.

I can get some seedlings at a local nursery but at about $12 a pop i think its a bit rich. The only other JBP around are expensive (bad quality) garden trees~$100.

If any one could help/point me in the right direction that would be great.

Thanks.
Scott

Hi Scott,

You could try purchasing some JBP seeds and germinating them yourself if you wanted to save a few bucks and don't mind waiting that bit longer?

All the best,

Aaron

I agree with Aaron K... if you are only looking for 3 year seedlings, it may be a good idea to start them yourself so you can make sure they have the perfect start (early tap root pruning etc) as opposed to depending on nursery stock which may have been grown with no intention of spending its life in a container

thats my 2 cents

Hi scott
Check out Ray Nesci At Dural

He allways has many JBP Seedlings in various stages to pick from

Tiny starter trees from $3 and couple year old seedlings for $9 usual prices and biggger stock from there.

Thanks Ken,
Thats the kind of info i was looking for...i am yet to get up there to have a look (being in canberra) but that encourages me. Since i can no longer get up to the auction i might have to make a day trip up there.
AMKhalid, Aaron_K thanks for the input.
I have tried some seeds(not pine) and they didn't work out too well, so i'd rather just get young stock that is already going. The only reason i want young stock is because i can not afford mature trees.
Thanks all for your input.
Scott

Not nine dollar trees, but a ton of value, and comparatively inexpensive, check out Brents pines at Evergreen Gardenworks Nursery.

I know budgets, but read his articles, and about his approach to raising those little guys, save for a bit, and have Good stuff to refine. Value to me means more than cost.
