Japanese Site With Lots Of Mini Bonsai Pics

I've had this link under my favorites for a long time, and decided to show it to you guys after I stumbled upon it today. Since its in Japanese, It will be hard to navigate, so for your convenience.. I did a little translating for you.

that lil' mushroom is a cool thing. When I was in Toyohashi, Japan, I had the benefit of trying a special soup delicacy made from a certain mushroom that grows only at the base of a particular type of red pine. Thanks, that link and picture brought it all back!

was it the matsutake mushroom? the japanese supermarkets over here have it for $99/lb!!!

Ive had it a couple times.. my mom likes making it as rice -matsutake gohan... mmm yummyness

Yes I think it was some kind of special red pine matsutake soup. $99/lb? Good for washing down a little fugu blowfish, I suppose.
