Are these seedlings? I got a couple japanese maple seedlings from Wal-Mart for $1.50 a piece. How old are these trees?

We've seen alot of one time posters come on this great forum and plug a vendor and are never heard of again, some even plug cloneing or clonging, whatever that was!
But dont worry about it.

24" -36"? Thats a very good price. You can get them on ebay cheap too. There is a lady on there selling them 10 for $5 plus shipping. Ive bought alot of them, and they are all healthy, only about 4 inches tall though. But sure beats fooling around with the seeds. Im checking my local walmart tomorrow, ill clean them out

Our local Shop-ko got a shipment of Trident maples about 6' tall this year. Of course they are not hardy here in the ground but it's the way they markrtrd them. Whatever nursery supplied the rees had Amur maple tags on them with a picture on the front of the tag. Then they covered up the words Amure maple with Trident maple on the front of the tag!
If you were to turn the tag over it says they are hardy to -40º , just like an Amur maple.

They have 1 1/2 to 2" trunks so they'll make nice chops.

They went on sale and I bought 10 of them for $5.00 a piece.
