I started in 1986 so I would have been 19 going on 20! (This is where we all show our age now!)

To late!!! in 1980 my wife and I won a raffle you guessed it.

A small ficus it survived with all of our miss guided efforts. I got serious in 1984.
At that time I was very young at 47 now I am in my prime I think I can say I am getting there.
I hope there are plenty of trees where ever I go when I leave earthly plain.
May your God go with you. Pup

Got started at 14 or so, after a freind introduced me to his neighbor's trees. I'm almost 25 now and loving it!

I just got my first trees this weekend! I have loved japanese maples for years, which led me to look into bonsai. My curiosity finally got the better of me a few months ago and I picked up a few books and then started lurking around here, catching up on all the posts each day while at work (heh heh). this past weekend was a sale the local club puts on and I picked up a seiju elm, cork oak, and korean hornbeam... I can't wait to start hacking away at them!!!
