Huston Texas Store?

Hello.

I live in Gudalajara, Mexico. In a few weeks I will be traveling to Huston Texas and I would like to visit a bonsai store there. I want to buy some tool because here in Guadalajara is almost imposible to get.

Could anyone give me the adress of a bonsai Store in Husto Texas?

You could probably contact the Houston Bonsai Society for recommendations:

http://www.houstonbonsai.com/
used to be the website but it appears to be down.

In part it did list the meetings:

If time allows, you might even attend a meeting. The group meets the first Wednesday of every month at the Houston Garden Center. 1500 Herman Park Drive, next to the Houston Museum of Natural Science. The social gathering starts at 7:00 p.m. and the meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. Visitors welcome.

And a contact name:

esh@birkman.com

Regards,

Matt

The last decent bonsai store in Houston closed in February. Don't know anything about that one in Missouri City. I doubt it's in existence.

You can find items in some of the local nurseries. Ther's a plce called Cabrerra Farms about 30 minutes from Houston. Limitted selection, best stuff is not for sale. Ancient Bonsai halfway between me and Houston in Santa Fe. If this sounds good LMK I'll hunt down Ron's number.

I'm about an hour out (Seki Bonsai), but I'm strictly mail order at the moment...

So why don't you open one up. You do have enough supplies in your back yard don't you. )

Maybe theres a reason why they closed in february possibly not enough business. If that is true than he probably doesn't want to open one.

I think he's talking about Zoe's store, Tranquility Bonsai. She closed because her parents were sick and she needed to take care of them out of state. She did have a great going out of business sale.

Cabrerra Farms has a nice selection of trees. I try to go there once a month. I don't think they sell tools though. I would definately look them up when you are in Houston. Good luck finding the nursery. It took me almost an hour with a map.
