heymikey podocarpus
someone asked over on the auction page (6 times?)
"How can we be sure this is a podacarpus?" Well, we can't. It looks like a podocarpus to me. If you can't deal with that uncertainty - then don't bid. Sorry that I can't be more definative. - bob

I've seen that submit button on the question bounce before, but 6x is a record!
The HeyMikey tree does look like a podocarpus to me. More specifically P. macrophylla http://biodiversity.sci.kagoshima-u...u/inumaki-e.htm I think this site shows P. macrophylla and microphylla on the left and right respectively http://www.indoor-plant-care.com/in...razred=7&id=340 As well as a closeup of a particular nasty scale: http://www.indoor-plant-care.com/in...razred=7&id=340 Regards, Matt

It looks more like a "monkey puzzle" tree to me...which is a type of podocarpus with stiff pointy leaves.....Auracaria bidwilli,i believe
http://www.floridata.com/ref/a/arau_bid.cfm I'm only looking at a picture though. andy
