Hi Erocki

First thought is for a common privet...

Do you get little blackish fruits in the summer (approx 10mm or 3/8" size)?

Regards,

TB

Looks like a natal plum with the striated bark and waxy leaves.

I am gonna say it is a Brush Cherry. I have one that is very similar to this. However mine does flower and fruit when the conditions are right. It didnt flower and fruit for a while tho. Here is a pic of the green stuff on my mother tree (for cuttings). I concidered three ideas that your tree might be....

one a boxwood of somesort...

a brush cherry pictured below.

orange jasmine, in the next post is a pic. box and brush cherry have similar bark textures, and all three have leaves similar to yours.

Someone correct me if I am wrong because I don't have any fruiting trees nor do I know anything about them. I thought that they would'nt fruit untill they were a certain age.

flowers

It might help if you could describe the flowers a little more. Star-shaped? Bell shaped? How many petals, etc. might narrow it down better than bark/leaf info...

I think my Natal Plum had thicker, rounder waxy leaves and thorns, too.

Matt
