Re: HELP
It could be overwatered or overfertilized or perhaps located indoors when it should be outside. Chlorosis, or iron deficiency could also be a cause, or a soil and water pH that is too far out of the norm.
A picture would be a big help, also letting us know where the tree is located and how long you've had it. Regards, Matt

YOU CAN NOT RUSH TIME
|
Re: HELP
EN4CER, sorry to inform you...Japanese Maples are NOT indoor trees. They need to be outdoors and require a dorment period. The light they get at a desk is unlikely to be enough. Now I could be wrong but I know of no Maple type that is an indoor tree. Also allowing the soil to dry out is not good, water just before it dries out.

Re: HELP
I agree with Jay, maples should be outside and watered before the soil drys. Considering when i first bought my japanese maple the dude told me it was an indoor tree. I informed him he was totally wrong, and all his customers were probaly pissed cause there trees died. Anyhow stick your tree outside where it will recieve morning sun and afternoon shade, and it should recover. Hope this helps

No. *Japanese Maple are outdoor trees. *You can take it inside for three days or so at a time *Then it needs a few weeks outdoors.
