Hello again
I thought I'd dip my toe in the water that is bonsaiTALK once again.
Seems like quite a bit has changed since my last real participation, members have come and gone, a panel of moderators (with a sometimes unenviable task) has been installed, new features have been added to the forum and I've noticed at least one feature has gone. During my absence from bT I tried another hobby. I have a small 7" lathe in my shed, so I tinkered away, designing and machining, totally disinterested in bonsai to the point of letting my Japanese kashima maple go crispy . I must say that I became greatly disenfranchised with bonsai. For months now I have been thinking that I would sell my collection in the spring of 2006, but then I picked up a book that had some beautiful pictures of massive gnarly old English oaks and my mind started wadering towards that fat chinese languishing on my faded and neglected bonsai bench. So here I am again, interested in bonsai thanks to the beauty of the English landscape. Regards, Chris / Treebeard.

Welcome back!
![]() So good to see you again Mr. Treebeard. I'm glad your old oaks can inspire you still, as the pictures of them you've shared with us have been a great inspiration to me. Your miniature re-creations of English counrtyside scenes are also quite inspiring. I missed you, friend. pootsie |

Hi Joanie, Andrew, Jay, Pootsie, Ron, Paul,
Thanks for the welcome back. It feels kind of strange posting again... ![]() I had a load of photos of another model village to post, some very nice miniature trees and scenes, but it appears I have deleted them all in error Regards, Chris.

Hello Chris,
Welcome back ! Glad you found the inspiration to re-kindle your interest in Bonsai. Hopefully, being part of the "family" here again will help consolidate that and we look forward to your valued input. Best Wishes, Ian. |
