Many, many thanks to all of you that responded here. I am very appreciative of your best wishes. I did take this week off as vacation and have been spending the time pruning some of my more "bushy" bonsai!

OK, they are all bushes so what..it's my birthday and I can leave them as bushes if I want. I did about 5 plants today and so far have pruned 4. That doesn't make sense does it. Well... I spent more time pulling weeds than I did pruning. Get the picture?

anyway.. you can see I had a few also...

As a member of the better late than never club, I wanted to wish you well Al. You are always a pleasure to talk to in chat.

It seems there should be no concern as to whether you had fun on your birthday. You activities, based on your provided photo, would constitute my idea of a truly good time.

May all good things come your way in this coming year my friend. And above all... true and contented happiness.

Yours most sincerely,

Victrinia

Oh Dusty one,
Happy belated birthday (I suck at being prompt) and nice bottles.

Scott

Happy Birthday Al and as almost all have said, thanks for your help and insight. Notice I said almost all, I notice one Austrian is not among the well wishers ... actually he is ... Walter appreciates challenges from competent adversaries ... Kepp up the good work (that wasn 't a typo -- it was a Freudian slip).
