half of my tree dead, now what?

well heres the story. as you can see in previous pictures of this bonsai it is standing on a brick wall type thing. but on the other side of it is my grill, with an air thing that blows the smoke out. but my friend was cooking on it and didnt tell me my plant was still there and as you can see, its pretty dead on one side.

what should i do? should i pinch all the dead stuff back?

Trim them off, maybe the branch will bud back. At the least, it will look better.

OBLIGATORY DISCLAIMER: This opinion reflects only my opinion, not having had a juniper that got smoked during the cooking of a lovely outdoor dinner, and should be taken with a grain of salt. Or a dose of pineapple juice. On the rocks. With ice. Consult your horoscope. Consult the tree's horoscope. Don't use power tools to remove the dead foliage. Not for internal use. It is a violation of Federal law to remove the tag, unless you are the consumer, so eat the tree first. Etc.)

Joanie
hey, this makes it a lot more work to answer posts. But your mileage may vary.
