Half a cow for 4 Shohin Shimpaku's...good deal?
Vegetarians are warned this thread may contain scenes that would make any true meat eater drool...
Hi guys, The other day I donated 4 Shohin Shimpaku trees to the North Queensland Classic car club and they have now offered me half a cow from a big cattle station out west as thanks...It seems Martin has bought himself a new chainsaw to cut t-bones steaks and wants to give it a try. (I thought he was going to chase a cow through the bush with it at first until he explained himself a little better) Plus on Thursday the club is doing a run to my house and nursery to blockade my street.... That's it Tai |

By all means TAKE THE MEAT,...if nothing else you could freeze it and this winter cook it and give it out to homeless people in your area, I'm sure they would LOVE a nice filet to fill their stomaches and warm their aflicted hearts.

Ah, got to love those Aussies- the true meat and potato crowd. Hopefully won't be one of the "downers" I have seen on the Ayres Rock to Alice Srings trip. John

By all means come on down!!! Quote:
That's a good idea Zen....when the old thermometer hits to low 70F-80's all the homeless people could come on over...BYO coconuts of course... They'll more than likely have to push aside all the free fish in their stomachs to add some beef...but hey...their stomachs could do with a good feed of free beef to add to their fort nightly dole payments.... Bloody hard living on $250 a week in paradise where plentiful food supplies abound...But crickey who wants to reach out and grab a passionfruit or banana when some wally is willing to stand and give out free meat till the cows come home... God bless you Zen! lmao Quote:
Downers...you mean road kill john? Ah don't say that as he'll drive past about 50 on the way to my house tommorow morning...I suppose he could find a freshie...pre tenderised by a 48 wheel road train....and seasoned with a delightful dash of road base gravel...mmmm... |

ok then, so you gave 4 BONSAI to a CLASSIC CAR club and they're giving you a ton of beef? these aren't things that go together everyday, what a strange and foreign land you must live in.
Aus$250 a week dole?!?! flippin 'eck! thats a tad over GBP£100! over here the dole payment is only £45 a week and you are expected to live on that. Been there done that, it doesn't work. I'd gladly settle for £100 a week. (for the record, i'm not a sponge. I love my job and get paid a very tidy sum.) Al

The dole...lol
In what other countries apart from Aus and Britain can a person decide to go on paid holiday for the rest of your life? The ammounts here are pretty good I hear from some friends who are professional bludgers.. Round here....If you can catch fish and like tropical fruit you don't need to spend money on food...the weather here is plesent enough to sleep under the stars 365 days a year... I know of one family of 2 adults and 3 kids living in the sand dunes on 4 Mile Beach here in Port Douglas and loving every minute of it... |
