Growing Pre-Bonsai

Are there any books/instructional materials on the subject of growing nursery stock for pre-bonsai use? Anything useful regarding making a business out of doing such?

Dale as is oft the answer, look at some of Brents articles, http://www.evergreengardenworks.com/articles.htm

there are several articles that should be of some help.

Mostly though it's good growing practices, with the future bonsia considered.

See Bonsai Today pre volume 75, thee are several good articles on material production. Just understand, it is very easy to get more material than you can care for. John

John,

Thanks, I'll look for them. For the moment I would just like to learn a bit about it. I have this idea that maybe somewhere down the line I might like to raise some to sell, but I'm not planning on quitting my day job anytime soon.

Jf do you sell stock,...or were you just relating to the fact that bonsai is such an addictive hobby/art form?
If you do sell stock where do you operate?
I'm in Commerce/Banks Crossing now, formerly in Madison Co.
