Thats is some interesting reading, but it seems almost all the information i can find is from Australia, does nobody else in the world use CCA? Anywho, as safe as it may be to mamals i don't know about trees. They haven't got kidneys to filter out the arsenic and have a very different structure to a carrot. As Pat says, the toxicity is the issue (a slow accumulation of the arsenic/copper/chromium). Maybe you could try growing something of little value in the CCA treated wood and compare it to something similar that isn't? Compare the two and let us know if there is any significant difference.
