Good Trip To Bonsai Show

this weekend i vistited a bonsai show in the city. this was my first show i've been to, and i love it. i'm going to enter a couple of my trees that i feel are show quality in the next show. luckily my friend's dad, who is big into bonsai for years was there. he sold my brother and i 23 pots for 30 bucks. we got over 200 dollars worth of pots for 30 dollars! anyhow, we got to see many of his trees, including his prize-winning mulberry. i'll post more pictures tomorrow. this is a picture of his mulberry that i got off the iowa bonsai association's site. sorry, this particular photo is 2 years old. here it is anyway

I've been wondering how well mulberry do as bonsai, I've got my eye on a couple for clippings and air layers.

Apparently they do very well, I love this one.

So where was the city that had the bonsai show? I live in Iowa too, I was wondering if there were any bonsai groups around. Nice lookin' tree, by the way.
