I'm going to Boston for Turkey Day. Leaving Tuesday afternoon.
While my wife is draining the stores on Newbury St, I like to sneak off to visit a bonsai place. If I buy anything it will be a tropical (But serissa do not survive in my world.) I am familiar with New England Bonsai. How does Bonsai West compare for tropicals? Or should I visit Suthin? Any other ideas? Thanks. Bart |

Hi Bart,
I've always slightly prefered NE Bonsai to Bonsai West, but I don't know that there is really any logic to it. If you've never been to Bonsai West you should definitely go some time. I really don't think you'll find their selection of tropicals to be anything less than you'll find at NE Bonsai; it's a great place. Never been to Suthin, never heard of Suthin...got no idea what Suthin is. But, I do like to say Suthin. Suthin. Enjoy your turkey day, Tobias

bart, i can't talk about bonsai west cuz i have never been out there, but if you want tropicals, go to ne bonsai. suthin's place is very nice, but small, and the selection isn't as vast as at ne bonsai. if you are interested in a great trident to work with though, go visit suthin. last time i was there he had a whole area full of them, nice and thick too. happy turkey day, and happy bonsai hunting.
