So, my morning started out by driving my parents to a wedding. As I was driving home I noticed a nursery that I haven't been to! So, I decided to stop and see what they have in stock. I looked around and right infront of me is this gingko tree. I have never seen any of my nurseries stock the tree. I don't know why because the tree is so elegant. So I decided to get it. However, the lady told me that there are two types, actually two genders, of gingkos: male and female. She told me that according to her reasearch: "Female Gingko trees will produce a very nasil unfriendly smell around november." I am not sure if this is true or not but I think that the tree is balanced like the yin and the yang. It's a very elegant type of tree and I find it fitting for a beautiful tree to have a foul smelling aroma, perfect balance. No tree is perfect right?

The nasty smell from the female Gingko is not from the tree but from the fruit they produce. The fruit stinks. The truth of the matter is that a Gingko has to be at least thirty years old before it will produde fruit. In the nursery trade mostg Gingkos are grafted to make sure all of the trees are males any wey.
