Gardenweb.com -=> Kaput ???
bonsaial said he saw something funny on the www.Gardenweb.com site a couple of days ago. I haven't been able to log into it since.
Even the host at www.vmirror.com is down, www.gardencalendar.com is down as is www.gardenbazaar.com . I can't browse any gardenweb members homepages. Anyone know what happened? Hacked? Bankrupt? ![]()

Re: Gardenweb.com -=> Kaput ???
Really? Did you try to refresh the page? Sometimes it gets cached in the browser when the new page will not load.
I have been trying for a few days. I keep getting a 403 Forbidden error. maybe I didn't pay my internet bill ![]() No really, it only happens with gardenweb.com Regards, Matt ![]()

Re: Gardenweb.com -=> Kaput ???
Matt,
this is gardenweb style to throw you out. He through me out last fall because I had a link in my homepage which he did not like. Consequently the IBC gallery was started which furhteron took the overwehlming majority of educated bonsai enthusiasts away from the gardenweb. He may see you as fierce competition and right so. Don't worry, you are in good company. best regards Walter Pall |

Re: Gardenweb.com -=> Kaput ???
Hmm, normally you get sent to the Disney homepage.
I too am among the un-welcome, although I could (and have) probably get around it. I tried to refer someone to the articles on Evergreen gardenworks. The email exchange that followed pretty much sealed my fate. Not usually much worth seeing over there anyway. He also cruises other sites to see what everyone's saying about him and he'll ban you for that too. Class act...

Re: Gardenweb.com -=> Kaput ???
You mean he blocks I.P. addresses?
My own address is assigned dynamicly. I just unplug my modem for a minute or two and get a new one. It's not something I have an occasion to do very frequently, but it's possible. Then that IP address gets churned, and I assume eventually winds up in the hands of another of my ISP's clients at some point in the future. Maybe that person will be a gardenweb subscriber or advertiser? Ooops! : ![]()

Re: Gardenweb.com -=> Kaput ???
Yep, at one particular location he's got me totally blocked out, by IP address. I can basically do what you do from my modem link up though. He must screen for certain names and businesses as well- because he's gotten me banned from some other locations also. He's kind of like dealing with a spoiled child, mid tantrum...

Re: Gardenweb.com -=> Kaput ???
Garden web is up and well. I currently post into both forums . I find that the garden web deals mostly with the eastern seaboard and south east. His core of diehard posters run from texas to canada. It is well documinted in the forem that spike will throw people off of his web page. ESP compition! I agree with walter that the core of people on that forum can be clanish, and in some cases down right rude.
