Fukien Tea Leaf Shape

Im planning to buy a pre-bonsai that I cant identify because the nursery just labeled it as a houseplant...

For some reason I could almost identify it as a Fukien Tea...but since i really havent seen on in life...could sombody help me by showing a closeup picture of the Fukien tea leaf?

Thanks verymuch

Mike

Mike:

I just took this picture looking down on my Fukien Tea. It shows the new growth as well as the old so you can see both stages of the leaves.

my fukien tea does not have splits at the ends but rather it has three little points, almost like a crown. is this what you're seeing? hope this helps.

a tip for you if it's a fukien tea. keep it moist. to increase your stock i have found that the cuttings root very well with some hormone. my orginal continues to grow very well (indoors all year) and it's very forgiving to errors given the rapid shoot growth. good luck.
