bonsai.

Hey bonnelee... I'm from Australia and Im getting into bonzai, though I know I wont be much help. Any way I started bonsai about 3-4 months ago and I'm eager to get more trees and to get organised. I've only got three trees at the moment. I am 13, I live in Aus,vic, stawell. Last autumn I started out in the garden with vegies but I have abandoned it now because its impossible in this heat! Anyway I figure bonsai is a bit of greenery in this dusty place. My Unkle and Aunty do bonsai and my other unkle has many native plants which I can use so im gonna get into natives a bit. Though im thirteen I still no a bit so my email is:

Hey everyone,

My name's Peter and I'm a newbie bonsai "enthusiast". I recently lost my bonsai virginity to a Jacaranda tree that I bought a week ago.

No only am I a bonsai newb, but I'm also a gardening newb so a warning - be patient with me

Anyway, just wanted to say and that I cant wait to experience the wonderful world of bonsai.

Hey, My names rob. I live in south west michigan... and its snowing like crazy right now and its -3 out... BUT I started getting interested in bonsai a month before christmas. i bought a juniper for my girlfriend for christmas about 6 years old. which i thought was cool at the time but about a week after christmas and bought my own juniper and realized the one i bought for her Is grown totally crazy and in a pot thats probably way too big. But the one i bought is pretty small... Still small enough to shape and work with and probably 4 years old im guessing. Plus its in a training pot. Also i have a schefferella maybe about 4 years that im probably just gonna propagate... Hopefully that is. but ill try a forest type with those if i can do it right. But as all new people need i will need help. I have read ALOT on bonsai already but i am no professional. But this site has already helped alot.

I've been having a look around the forum looks good! Anyway im from Melbourne, Australia im 29 and being doing bonsai for 1 year so far. Its been great so far, sharp learning curve. I have about 12 trees so far in various stages, most have been bought as trees to work on. I find it a relaxing past time and hope to learn more.

Hi I'm Adam,
I've returned to the bonsai world! I did have a few Bonsai's about a year ago, but a lot of things had been happening and now life is organised, I'm back to stay! Hopefully I'll get started soon.

Hope to learn more from you all

I know next to nothing about bonsai tree's, but i think they are really beautiful, and would like to learn more about them.

i am currently the proud owner of one completely un identified bonsai, and a chinese plum (which has been neglected)

Justin McDowell at your services!
At the grandeur age of 23; I am very drawn to nature, especially the beach!
My interest in bonsai started 2 years ago but I just recently began to educate myself about it.
I have 3 trees so far, all in the training stages. they are:
-my mallsai which i hope will eventually transform into something attractive (juniper)
-A satsuki hybrid azalea (my baby) and im getting more when I find nice ones
-and a manzanita that I dug up a few weeks ago and dont really know what to do with just yet. I want to make sure it survives first, of course.

Hobbies besides bonsai:
I live around, in, and for music (metal). I have been in several bands playing several instruments, but now I do my own thing. I just put out my first CD in July!!
I like snowboarding
I like hiking
I like street bikes (i ride a 2006 Kawasaki ZX6RR)
I like photography
I like Karate
I like gardening with my mom
I likeLove Wheat beer
I like educating myself about many things, politics, engineering, philosophy, science, and other nerdy things.
And speaking of nerdy things I go to the renaissance faire many times every year in full costume... Huzzah!!!

Ummm, Im getting married May 31st this year! Hooray!
Im am a working student (ie both a machinist and a mechanical engineering major)
I enjoy what I do very much. I have so many ambitions so I got no time to waste. Glad to be amongst fellow... (Id call you enthusiasts but that doesnt do you justice) Its the patience and value of natural art that I admire.

Here is some goofy random pictures:
