An Idea Copurtesy Of Treebay!

Just had a look on Treebay.com and saw a winter jasmine. Very nice, and hopefully I would like to achieve a simimalr feel with the Forsythia air layer i have going at the moment.

That's a pretty nice looking Winter Jasmine... do you have a pic of your tree or does it have a while to go yet?

Air layer successful

Yes it worked, but strangely it rooted above where I cut it, no roots at all where I removed the bark and applied rooting powder, weird, but good strong roots just below the crown and new growth coming on.
Is now in a clay flowerpot for the rest of the year.

I think that you should had put the bag 1inch or so above the cut and then alot more under the cut. Thisway the roots could only grow within the 1inch ontop of the cut and expand down.
