Is this a form of wild cherry?ID wanted

This small tree in a island near the village is starting to flower, and it always puts on a good show, but I was curious as to what species/cultivar it is. It doesnt look like a regular domestic cherry as the flowers are small and white. I thought at first it was Blackthorn(prunus spinosa) but there are no thorns, yet it does have simialar new growth. The closest match I have is Wild Cherry(prunus avium) but this is in a semi-domestic setting.
On the way home the other night I reached up and pulled off a flowering stem , put it in water and the buds opened! Looks very pretty and has a smell similar to Hawthorn(Crataegus monogyna)

Will, its definitely a prunus, the number of stamens far exceeds that of a malus.

Not sure as its dark out,lol
Iwill have to have a lok, but I think its just like blackthorn, dark and somewhat knobbly, yet smooth. The twigs are near black.

wild cherry?

Could it be a flowering pear? I am working on one and the new growth comes right out the ends like your pic.

I dopnt think its a pear, too many stamens, and no pear like fruit. Its some cross of blackthorn and wild cherry I think.
