Fo Auction For Pot.

Thought we'd try a pot auction since there are a lot of them on ebay as well. Lets see who has a keen eye. I will tell what I payed for this pot in a couple of days and what the pot is worth now.

The winning bidder will take home a RARE authentic Japanese signiture pot. Look at the beautiful green glaze and quality of the glaze. Nothing can compare to a Japanese quality pot. Turn the pot over and view the authentic Japanese signiture. This pot has been imported from Japan and measures approximately 24 INCHES by 14 INCHES!!!!!!!

This pot can be displayed on its own and it a true masterpiece.

Winning bidder to pay all shipping charges. All care is taken in preparing pot for shipping.

Ok now there is no vote just bid and give opinions on what you see from the pictures. Lets see what you can come up with.

Hi David,

I've got a nice shohin pot that matches this one. I think these are actually extraordinarily nice pots for the price. It's not just hype, that really is a super glaze. You could probably get that particular one for somewhere in the ballpark of $75 US.

Bonsai Northwest had a few last time I was over there, though I don't know if they had that exact size.

Regards,
Carl

Here's my matching shohin pot. I should say that I quite happily paid 30 dollars for it based on the quality of the work and the glaze - so to get one in the size that you've shown for $75 is a great deal, in my opinion - I just did happen to see them for about that price recently.

This sentance leads me to believe that the pot may be worth a lot more than we think. If this were a real auction would there be a reserve, or would that have given it away? To be fair that is the way it needs to be presented here. If it's worth what I think75.00 would be a steal.

Al
I'll treat your response as someone emailing me with regards to finding out more detail about the pot.

This pot was obtained from a trip by the president of the Bonsai Society of Victoria on a trip to Japan many years ago. This pot is very rare and almost impossible to get these days especially in Australia. This would fetch well over AUS$300 ~ US$180.

Don't think I could set a reserve because it is a give away for what I paid.

Rob I think you might actually know how much that pot was. Don't say anything. What do you think it is actually worth in Australia if you found it at a nursery.
