Congrats on the new venture, I will close out the mortgage on my house this comming monday. However I was just told by the H.B.I.C. (Head ***** In Charge) that the kitchen desperately has to be redone. Welcome to the longest and Greatest continuious project you can ever have .

I know what you mean. My wife has been in a huddle with a contractor for two days. Lots of samples of hard wood floors laying around. Good by money ;o( |

Just remember....
A wife can only get soooo mad! Just keep the "Roundup" under lock and key. As for the hardwood floors, if your house is on a slab, DON"T! (at least on the ground floor.) ![]() |

Well she is just about to pop a gasket. I am just about to give her a bill for 760 feet of 6 foot tall pressure treated privacy fence. That came to a small fortune. Actually not so small. While she is screaming I might as well sneak out of the house and get those 50 2x10x10 boards that I need for display stands. Might even get me a new coffee pot while I am at it ;o) Sooner or later her vocal cords will give out. Hope so anyway. Wives are funny they think that a good looking house is the most important thing. Us bonsai people know that a good looking bonsai garden is more important. It has the priority. People can set on orange crates and eat off paper plates. But bonsai are, after all, a work of art. On many occasions Andy Rutledge has said so. ;o) And art must be protected and cherished. The house can be done any old time. |

Ron, even my wife agrees.
As my wife reminds me, "...those bonsai benches better be well built cus' you're gonna be sleeping under 'em." Sounds like she's got her priorities straight... ;^) Jim |

If you look real close at the right side of the picture on page one of this thread you will see where you will be sleeping on your next visit. It is right next to my new gym. That is what Barbara said any way after she read your comments ;o) |

So is a back lawn a step up from being found sleeping on someone's front lawn? ;^)
