I've no experience with serissas myself, but over the years I've been forced to learn a bit about aphids.
Bill, in post one you mention you are spraying with water. I've rarely met an aphid investation that could not be treated by doing just that. Repeatedly spraying with a hard jet of cold water.
I realize it might be good to know in the long run what kind of pesticides Serissas can take, but here I'd see if I couldn't do without altogether...
If you really want to be radical and the tree is manageable, pack the pot into a plastic bag, so you don't wash the soil out, and take a cold shower to it. Might loose a few leaves, but I almost guarantee that you'll be rid of the aphids as well...
