Fiftieth Anniversary forest continued!

Last October Marilyn and I celebrated our fifty first anniversary. The time had come to repot the monster and rather than attach the pictures to the original post "Anniversary Forest", I will let the pictures do the talking.

I will just add that I obtained a few younger Ficus Salicfolia to place in the rear to give a little more perspective to the forest, however, It was a tough job adding three more trees. I am not happy with the final results since the pot I thought was big enough, is just a little too small measuring 18 1/4" by 13 1/4".

I am now in the process of looking for a larger pot so I can move them into a larger pot

Here are a couple more pictures, but as you can see the trees are completely fused together, not just the roots intertwined, but one solid mass of wood.

Carl:

Aren't you getting dangerously close to the "need help to move it" threshold?

I find myself liking smaller trees.

Bart:
No question about it. In fact Marilyn helped me carry the monster down to the bottom of the steps of my tree house. (She insited on helping!!!) Once I washed off the soil it was OK. I was able to lift it by myself. It's a good thing I work-out with weights!
