Can I buy an "o" too? Then maybe I can resist bidding on the auction site!

Pretty nice things selling there right now.

With those fantastic little pots Ian has been posting, who could resist?

(Evidently a few, but maybe it's the shipping)

Regards,

Matt

The shipping really isn't that bad when you divide it between three or so pots. And he would combine shipping on multiple buys, no doubt. The little pots are just fantastic! Come on, someone, make me pay more for 'em!

I have ordered a few pots from Ian and he always will combine items to save shipping when he can. I love shopping with him.

So does anybody know where, when and how the term "Golden Gate" was applied to Ficus retusa microcarpa or Ficus microcarpa retusa? "Tiger Bark" is obvious...

Talk about a thread hijacking~LOL~

I have no idea when "Golden Gate" was first used,or whether it is a true variety or just a common name.I first heard of them some 10 years or so ago at Brussel's Bonsai.

Sorry, no ideas.
There is another Golden Coin Ficus that comes out of China. So the gold thing may have some psychological or cultural significance for them?
