Feeling less amateur...

Today I'm feeling a little less amateur. How? It will probably sound kinda stupid, however, it worked for me.

For the first time today, I sifted my own soil with some new sieves I recently purchased. I wanted to give it a shot and had a brand new bag of Oil-Dri I wanted to try out.

Besides purchasing some plant material, driving my wife crazy with all my purchases, and reading a lot of books, this is probably the most advanced bonsai activity I've performed.

Like I said, it sounds stupid, even corny, but I really do feel like I'm more "into" the hobby (a.k.a. obsession) then I have been since I became really interested about a year and a half ago.

WELL said Andy!

Hey I’m gonna pot the Cork bark elms ya' sold me in 05' this spring. Its gonna be an awesome forest. I’ve been working on separating the trees and reducing all the root masses. Been a long process.
