bonsaiTALK Hint: Did you know you can double click any bonsai term on this page for its definition?

Elm forest Update.

The pic I use in my personel file shows me pruning on this forest.I prune it almost twice a month. I have to move it onto a wheelbarrow to get all the way around it to pinch. This is the wat it looked when I made it.

Six months, and 25.00 bucks worth of fertilizer for this tree alone, and I got some great leaves now. The mother tree is filling in real nice now. It was a little sparse when I included it in theis grove. I have 1 more tree that I will trade out next repotting. The tree is in the back of the grove and has too exposed a root system foe this planting.

Best regards, Bonsaial

Al,

I like your elm forest planting, I can also see that tree with the exposed roots and I think it should go too.

Hi Al,

In my personal opinion I think the tree on the left with the curl in the trunk conflicts more with the group than the tree with the exposed roots. If the group was mine I'd change that one first, (or both). What do you think ??

Hi Al,

Wow!!! Nice group. I do agree with Rene, the tree on the left does look at little out of place as does the exposed root one. That all said..... I wish it was mine.... If I ask nice, will you deliver it to me?:

Allright, now your going to force me to buy two trees. I have to agree the curly one has to go also. I was just able to live with that one for a longer time. It seem to be hidden in the foliage now, and dosn't stick out like the other tree. I would have to deliver it. This baby weighs in at almost 200 pounds. Gonna need the BIG brown truck. I could make one for you for about $1200.00? And that would be rock bottom.
