Just a constant reminder that the pastures are full of cows and bulls, we know this by what they leave behind. The problem is not to step in them or confuse them as food sources or jewels of wisdom. Just because somone has credentials does not mean he is credible. One is left with the question; What does one call someone who is taught and applauded by idiots?

Interesting concept, though based on computer models and likely much more complex than meets the mouse.

I suspect black asphalt absorbs more sunlight than a green canopy... let's see: parking lot versus park - take your pick.

Interesting! What will "scientists" come up with next?

I think I will continue to plant trees!

Reminds me of the "don't eat too many eggs"....then 15 years later "eat eggs, they're healthy". Or the don't drink alcohol, no, wait, have a glass of wine a night. Won't it be nice when we figure out what we're talking about.

Too bad we haven't been practicing this right along.

The old philosophical rhetorical question comes to mind; If a tree falls in the Forrest and there is no one there to see it, did it really fall? Every living organism interferes with the environment for its own purposes. The real problem is that we are conscious of what's going on, and feel guilty that we are. So the solution would be the total destruction of the human race, species, everybody no survivors. Then we can't interfere, change, try to make better, improve, destroy, poop-on, put our garbage on, and breath the air. If we are not here and we don't see it then it wont happen.

For those who are paranoid about Global Warming and absolutely certain that we are the cause,-----how come there is Global Warming taking place on the planet Mars? Don't you think it is more probably the cycles of the Sun?

I love how people treat these engineers with a condescending attitude. I mean these are guys from cracks institutions, these are engineers from MIT and Stanford, top schools in applied sciences. These guys obviously put a lot of work into this study if the paper is presented at a national . Call them idiots and "scientists" if you want, but what would that make you?

I'm not making any claims to anything. As to being condescending----I am not being condescending, I am being flat out belligerent! There are as many scientists that argue that Global Warming, if it is happening at all, is the fault of a hot solar cycle and not human activity. Being a scientist does not automatically make you right---or wrong. It is possible to have all of the credentials from the most prestigious institutions on earth and still be wrong.

History is full of scientists who have been wrong. The flat earthers, the geo-centrists, surper-racists. I just don't happen to be in a mood to be blamed for the world's woes. We are talking about people who are making long range predictions on a model for thirty or forty years, who just happen to be the same people that cannot predict the weather consistently accurate twenty-four hours ahead. That would not be so bad if it were not that these same individuals want us to change the way we live based on these specious assumptions. JMHO.
