Dandelion?

I have recently developed quite a liking for accent plants.
OMC has quite a few gorgeous accent plantings that I enjoy very much. I always love some nice dwarf mondo grass.

I was wondering what your opinions are on the dandelion(spelling?). I have heard of it being used as this before, and I think it could definetely look good. What do you think? Is the dandelion a friend or foe?

What are some other suggestions for really neat accent plantings?

Brett

I don't know about using it. Of course I am a fan of dandelions in the wild as they bring back good memories, but I don't know how they would work as an accent plant. It would probably have to be a fairly low growing one (as you may know they range from 2" to a foot tall), and I think it is only an annual plant, so it would need replacing every year.

the dandelion will make a neet accent plant and it is perenial...
will die back with hard freezes and sprout from the root in the spring...give it a wing...easy to start..just find a root...

Naka's got one in this second book as an accent.

I think I've seen Clay do a chrisanthemum accent too which looked really nice.

Dan Barton talks of using dandelion as an accent in his book "bonsai". There is a picture, it looks good.
