crabapple flowering in autumn
is this unusual?
malus profusion is starting to flower out in autumn, southern hemisphere. anyone else experienced such an occurance? |

Yeah i have seen a few around doing it atm... Not sure its normal though

Last year, my crabapple bloomed twice in a year: Spring and Fall. My teacher told me that if tree acted like that, the following year, it would not bloom or bloom very little. This March (Spring time), I transplanted it. Right now, only few flowers are appreciated. Bonhe

I have had a crabapple send out a few flowers in early autumn while the tree still had fruit from that spring. Our summers can be oppressively hot and I think the tree was celebrating having survived the summer!
