Hmmm....

Whitish looking bark peeling off in strips... I would guess serissa but there isn't any lichen/moss growth common to the high humidity enviornment they prefer.

So my guess would be BOXWOOD

I have seen rosemary with some pretty rugged bark.

That will be my guess, rosemary.
