Concerned about frost
Most of my bonsai's are Mame and I'm noticing frost on the rooftops. Needless to say, I'm concerned about the frost and too much water (from the rain) for the smaller bonsai's. Would a clear sheet of plastic over the plants keep the frost off the plants? And if I did that, how far away from the plants can it be. I have them on a shelf just below a window, so the plastic or covering would have to go about 3' above the plants. Seems a bit too far to help with the frost, unless it came out and then hung down in front of the plants.
Any ideas? Thanks.
