Collecting Juniper Locations ?
Hi I have collected down by mojave before and was wondering if anyone has collected in California - Nevada around hy50 or 80. I am looking for some good places to go to collect some nice junipers.

The trick is to find somewhere that you can collect legally. Unless it is private property it is pretty much a hassle. Of course you can't collect in National Parks. I've talked to five different National Forest and none of them were very encouraging.

Kathy Shaner does some collecting classes from El Dorado Bonsai in Placerville. They dig in the Mammoth area. Call El Dorado for a list of dates of collecting trips. They are rather expensive but they fill up fast.
