Club Visit to New World Bonsai
Rob has some great stock at great prices. I got 3 excellent trees (Boxwood/Yew/Hawthorn) and stayed under $100. I'll get some pics up soon. My camera died and is on it's way to Canon support.
http://newworldhorticulture.com/?p=140 You can see the Hawthorn I got in his gallery. http://www.newworldhorticulture.com.../categories.php |

Now that's a modern yamadori experience! Forget about collecting in the mountain for most of us. I love going to those type of nurseries where pre-bonsai trees are being grown out like that.
Good finds on your trees too. That yew tree has got some good curves, taper and all the right branches. It's worth a hundred dollar by itself. The front might be the other side though, especially if the nebari continues the curve down below the soil line. Good luck with it! Si Last edited by SiNguyen : 14-Sep-2007 at 11:44 AM. |
