Club Photos of lasted meeting

At the Badger Bonsai Society latest meeting we did some repotting.

First a member working on untangling the roots
Second the finished repot from a nursery container, Birds Nest Spruce (Picea abies 'Nidiformis')
Third A finished repot of a Kingsville Boxwood (Buxus Microphylla "Compacta")
Fourth Ilex vomitoria before
Fifth Ilex durring
Sixth Ilex finished repot, now is planted over a rock.

Very cool. What kind of soil are the finished repots in? Looks like regular potting soil and perlite.

I might start going to my local meetings, not sure though.

That's an artifact of the photo flash. The usual local soil is granite chicken grit, turface and some organic (peat or composted duck doo).
