Wow, pot shots at a person who wrote a good article, sour grapes?

From what I have read, the whole purpose of his three dimensional article and the following myth of the single front article is that the front as most imagine it is a myth, in which case he would use no chopsticks at all. Remeber the little boy in the matrix that said there is no spoon? I think he is saying, there is no front.

I have read many recent threads on this forum concerning this persons articles in Bonsai Today at ABS and on the art of bonsai forum. It seems the same few people here always have negative things to say, always try their best to downplay his accomplishments.

Way to promote the bonsai community, you make us all look good.

Johnnyboy it may have been a well written article but the content does not reflect what the majority are thinking and that includes me. 360 degree bonsai is fanciful and without any real focus as to the reality.
Will has written many diverse articles and i particularly enjoy the humourous ones. He recently posted on another forum a lengthy tome about the reasons why we should have uneven numbers in group plantings. Again well written but way too long. I agreed with the content though.
Part of our human psyche ( dependant on the person ) will not allow us to back down or allow others to disagree with what we believe. That is an understandable occurence but can lead to conflict and does not lend itself to harmony. A favourite saying of mine is 'we shall have to agree to disagree'. Which is probably the most expedient way to end ongoing animosity between parties. Would you not agree?

Regards Ash

Now how did this come up. The article we are talking about was on CHOPSTICKS. Mostly the history of chopsticks.

There is a big leap from that to a 360 degree bonsai. Such a big leap that one must wonder why it was taken.

Yes, this thread is indeed about Wills article on "Chopsticks".

Here is a link to the 3 dimensional thread started by Will if you wish to make comments on that one.

Thanks,
Ian.

JB was right, this has turned into a shooting gallery by people with an ax to grind at someone who is not allowed to defend himself in this arena. If the personal attacks had been at any one of them/you this thread would have been closed long ago.

Some of you are acting like twelve year olds. Some of you accuse JB of being Will's new sch-eel. Since when has the truth been engageing in sicophantasia? You don't have to agree with Will but you only show what you are made of when you constantly sink to this level,--- and--you impress no one.

Hate to say it folks but I have done another dumb thing. I mentioned an article on chopsticks and am surprised that so much has been said about everything but that article.

I also mentioned two other forum members that have had articles in the Journal. That , to my surprise, was glossed over . Even dismissed.

Amazing isn’t it. Just how far things can jump. What turns into arguments. How things are read (or read into) by others.
