Arrow CLOSED: Guess my Secret Tree #1

Okay here are the rules. I am thinking of a tree. I have PM'd the Latin name of the tree to Joanie, who'd gonna hate me cause we all know how much she'd like to play. However, Joanie might be around to answer when I am not so she can post replies as well.

Here are the rules...

1. Put your question or your guess in a post

2. If it's a question you must ask a question that can be answered Yes or No or Maybe. nothing like "what color" or "how many"

3. You can't ask me anything about the spelling, sorry, but that would be too easy.

4. don't ask more than one question or (guess more than one tree) per post

5. don't ask two questions in a row. Let someone else have a shot.

6. five No's and you're out. (meaning you can't guess anymore until somebody else is out. Then the count starts over. Not sure about that last bit, but it came to me in a codeine induced fog.

7. To win you must be the FIRST to get both the Genus and Species of the tree correct, and you have to spell them right, cause if you give me a typo I am gonna tell you that's not it. Don't worry about capitalization or italics though.

Sound tough? It is!

The Winner gets a packet of seeds or something (not necessarily from the tree in question, which just might be extinct!)

Ready?

Let's go! Feel free to queue up your individual guesses between mine or Joanie's responses because we may not be sitting here all night waiting - hope that's clear enough.

P.S. I forgot to mention if you break any of the rules 1-5 you are "out"

We'll try to post the answers right in your post.
