Wink

I'm not sure the mudman adds much to the composition.

The display of my newly carved Chinese elm.
I THINK I've covered all the bases?:
Correct sized stand
Clean background
Good taper
360 degree viewability

Now THAT's modern bonsai . I love the composition of the tree. It uses external tension to show inner turmoil. The swirling balled up splinters of wood turn in on themselves. The tree being chewed up and dead is a metaphor for modern life. APPLAUSE, APPLAUSE. Simply groundbreaking. Brilliant....So what kind of soil do you use for this?

We've received an anonymous email from a PETA watchgroup inquiring what exactly the mudman is doing to the chicken

I agree simply brilliant. I think with turmoil and tension the mudman represents the release of inner tension and the bike represents the freedom to live. Very well thought out Dale Cochoy I applaude you

Are you considering a pot for the future? Maybe something a little... avant garde?

Dale - this is nothing but a self-indulgent exercise in ugliness. It is a slap in the face of anybody who believes that Bonsai can have meaning - be they a novice or a self-proclaimed Master of the form. It is disgusting.

BRAVO!!! This is exactly what Bonsai needs right now! I tip my beret to you, Mr Dale.

I have taken the liberty of placing Dale's display on a plinth of sorts. If any of our esteemed blog viewers have difficulty interpreting the intention behind my choice of plinth, please ask and I will be sure to mock your ignorance so thoroughly that you'll wish you'd never been born.
