Chinese Elm Trunk Carving Query

I was carving the trunk of my Chinese elm and couldn't decide if I had created enough taper.
Any suggestions?
Dale

Well Dale, at least you have caught on to the proper tool for the job, those concave cutters you wanted to use would have taken you all day for that job

What , no Jin?
Thanks for the laugh.

You're all wrong ... more needs to come off on the right. Put it back on the left ... enter it in somebody's display contest ... a sure wiener!

Dale,

I'm afraid I'm gonna need to see a 360 degree view before I can make my judgments.

Excellent point Mr. Wes...I do believe this is the only 'true' 360 degree tree I have seen...there are no crossing branches...no eye poking branches...no pigeon breast trunk spots...no reverse taper...no viewing angle where the apex points away from thew viewer...Mr. Dale may have indeed found the perfect tool for creating a true 360 degree bonsai...One that has no faults regardless of the viewing angle...Congratz Mr. Dale...

Regards
Behr

Maybe you could shred the whole tree, get out the super glue and re-build from scratch?
