Chinese Elm branching
Hi
I started this Chinese Elm from seed and it has been going very well from the start. However, the seedling has not produced any branches, it is just getting taller and taller and produces new leaves. Any ideas how can I induce branching on this seedling ? http://pictures.bonsaitalk.com/show...&cat=500&page=1 regards Dimitris

Simply wait. As it grows, it will form branches. It needs to grow wild for a few years in order to thicken up, anyway. So, simply plant it in the ground or in a grow pot and let it be. Once it is big enough to work with, you can chop it and prune for desired branches and/or ramification.
Regards, John
