Chico California Bonsai Show

I am not a member of the Chico Club, but drove down last weekend and took some pictures. I apologize in advance for any errors in labeling.

It was wonderful to see a memorial area for Janet Walters. She and her mother, Roberta, did a series of beginner classes at our club in Redding (an hour plus drive up Interstate 5) It was obvious that Janet loved to teach and also cared a great deal about bonsai.

Why can't I ever win anything nice at raffles? I even stuck around to the bitter end, waiting for a bristlecone pine, to watch it being hauled off by some one else. I guess the quick answer would be to buy lots more tickets!

The first picture is an elm, the second one is an amazing frog figure suiseki, the third is a box wood.
