Chat sessions

Is there a regularly scheduled chat session/sessions on this board?

Is anyone interested in starting one on a weekly basis, say Wednesdays at 7:00 pm CST or whatever?

Re: Chat sessions

We had a few at 7:30 PM Pacific on Wednesdays. I ran into a few conflicts and haven't been able to participate in several weeks.

We could look at a time change, but I don't think a 5:00PM pacific time would work well because commutes are pretty long out here on the west coast.

Anyone else care to opine?

Matt

Re: Chat sessions

Matt:

I agree, 5 pm is a little early on the West coast. I am retired so most any time works for me. Sorry, I don't mean to rub it in but retirement is wonderful!

Re: Chat sessions

I would like to change the time to something a little earlier. 7:30 pacific was 9:30 central and by that time I was into something else and the chat slipped my mind. How about splitting the difference and saying 8:00 central (6:00 pacific). Would this give you west coast folks time to get home and unwind a little?

If found a chart at www.worldtimezone.com *Looks like UK is 8 hours ahead of pacific time. *Yes I think that's right because I am dialed in at GMT-8 here. *But I don't know if that is daylight or standard. :

Wait. * www.worldtimeserver.com confirms it. *You're 8 hours ahead. *That would make 6PM pacific into 2AM GMT *

I think I broke my computer trying to get this. I wonder why this font is so BIG?!

Re: Chat sessions

Perhaps what we need would be two sessions each week. For our European friends we could get together Saturday mornings at 10:00 am CST (ie 8:00 am PST, 11:00 am EST, 4:00 pm GMT). That would give the folks in Europe a fighting chance at some decent hours.

In the US we could do another one on Wednesdays at 9 pm EST, 8 pm CST and 6 pm PST.

Or, what the heck, we could all just do the Saturday thing. If we have anyone in Asia or Australia, that's another matter although they would certainly be welcome on Saturdays eh?

At any rate, Treebay, why don't you make the call and we can give it a try.
