OK - I have mede the commitment to come up from Florida for this. I am bringing Steve Pilacik some turntables I build - a new venture for me. Hopefully something to generate some profit that will get dumped back in to more bonsai stock and pots. Anyhow...

I don't get that much time free to travel for pleasure and considering I will be in Asheville should I take the trip over to see Marc at the Growing Grounds 'open house' sometime that weekend? I couldn't commit for workshops based on my schedule so I have no real plans once there.

Are bonsaiTalk members going to do something to identify themselves on name-tags or something? Looking forward to meeting all of you but honestly have no idea how to spot you.

Sad thing is I am missing the Miami show the same weekend. I guess I have had my fill of tropicals and a good Floridian knows any reason to leave the state during the hurricane season is 'a good thing'.

Maybe we'll cross paths on I95 on my way DOWN to Miami
Are you the guy who makes the turntables that I saw Jason selling in Gainsville? If so, those were nice.
Dale

Yep - thats me. Did a complete redesign over the past few months. New lifting system, new finish and larger shelf and bins. Got lots of input on my first run of them.

Bought my first "Dale" pots at that show. Sorry I did not introduce myself. Perhaps next time. Great pots by the way! Need to contact you soon for some pot options on a few trees that will be ready for homes in the next year.

Be safe in Miami - wishing you good weather. The last 3 major hurricanes that came thru Miami I have been there on entertainment projects. I figure if I stay away you will have no storms.

Thanks,

Last Miami show I did weather was beautiful in Oct. 85 and sunny!
I'm really hoping its nice cause I'm doing two programs on the way down. If a hurricane would be on the way, I'd be doubly screwed.
I'll wave as we pass....

I'll be there this weekend with the Bonsai Club of SC. Say 'hi' if you spot me!

This is me with Shinji Suzuki in 2004.

No...that was in the Green Club vendor area in Tokyo at the 2004 Kokufu-ten. I also met Shinji at Bill Valavanis symposium a few years ago when he was the guest artist.

The Green Club is a multi-level candy store of everything bonsai, coupled with an outdoor area which surrounds the entire building. You have to see it to believe it!
