What will the cost be to attend this year? If I get the chance to make it, I will try to get a name badge or sticker,...i'll have "zen" on there in case I see anyone from the forums,...I most likely will not recognize them by face, I'm sure i'll drag my wife and son along,...so perhaps we'll all get a chance to meet in person.

All it costs is a nominal parking fee. (I think, $2-5.) Admittance to the Expo once you're past the parking Nazis is free.

John D, glad you had a good program with Ken and John G. Look forward to seeing you in Asheville.

Well, I won't be there, but, If anyone down there should happen to be a bit north of there the week preceding the show I will be doing programs at the Richmond club and the Virginia Beach clubs on the evenings of October 9th and 10th respectively.
I'll be styling an old, collected, established 3+ yrs, yew at each club and they will be raffled at the end of the meetings.

I guess I'll be opening up a few boxes of pots at each meeting(?)

After the programs I will be on my way south to the Miami show on the weekend of the 14th and 15th.

I hope to meet some BT'ers at the meetings.
And, lets pray for NO HURRICANES!!

Dale

Dale, just a minor correction. On the 10th you will be with the Peninsula Bonsai Club, in Hampton, VA. About an hour, give or take, north of Va. Beach but really this area has turned into one big city in every way but name.
They are very excited to have you coming, and yes, your pots will be very much in demand. I have shown them some of the pots I've purchased from you over the past few years & it has generated much excitement. They are discussing something different & more respectful of it's value, than the usual raffle for your demo tree. Something along the lines of a football pool.

I hope to see 'yew' there!

Woohoo! I'm in.

Bill V's main event should be pretty enlightening as he works on a Blue Atlas Cedar. Literati is one of the hardest styles to do well, so I can't help but pick something up.

Thumbs up

Tennessee will be well represented! I know folks who will be attending the Expo from the Nashville, Knoxville (Hi, Dean!), and (my own) Mid-Appalachian (TriCities) bonsai clubs.

And, yes, I got in the Valvanis Cryptomeria workshop. And the Ikebana flower workshop. Variety is the spice of life....

I'm looking forward to the toy, errr - vendor - section, too. I'm sorry it is kinda limited (space limits numbers) - there are some rumors there will be more room when the new building the NC Arboretum is working on gets done. In the meantime, we 'customers' should continue to lobby this.

I can't wait! 3wks and counting!
