bonsaiTALK Hint: Did you know you can double click any bonsai term on this page for its definition?

Question Can't for the life of me remember......

I have been away from this site for several years and away from bonsai as well. My husband and I finally own our own home and I came here looking for a picture of a garden structure I would like to build and for the life of me I can't remember who it was that posted the pics. It was at LEAST 4 or more years ago. I think that this person lived in California. The structure was a long deck that was covered on three sides (with white plastic panels?) if memory serves me right. It had a shelf along the entire length with all his mature trees displayed. I believe that the structure might have had handrails and steps, but that is just a guess.

If there is ANY way anyone knows who I'm referring to so I could find the pics I would be ETERNALLY grateful!

Hi Terri, I remember about that long ago you came to my house with your husband I think. I don't know if you remember my set up but it was going in at that time. I don't have any white backdrops or steps with hand rails. I don't remember seeing any here, but then I don't always read every post.

Hope all is well and good luck with bonsai....again!

Cheers, Al

lol Hi Al! I remember going to your house and your pics were ones that I showed to my husband tonight. I like the style of your set up. What I would like to do is to have that style on a bigger scale so that we can have seating in there and room to display bonsai when I have time to start back up.

Who ever it was I THINK was in the San Francisco bay area, but don't quote me on that. It was like he could walk the length of the structure and admire the trees. It was open on one long side to the yard and covered on the other three sides. I can't remember what the roof was like. It was a pretty prominent poster here 4 years ago. All of the trees that were displayed in that structure were mature trees, so he has probably been into bonsai a long time. I'm just scratching my head trying to remember who it was.

You're place looks really nice Al! I hope that one day mine will look like that. I'm just so busy with showing pugs that it's hard to find time to work in the yard.

A bit off-topic, pug thread hijack

Hah, the second from the left looks a lot like one of mine!

Being busy with pugs is a feeling I know We had a litter 10 days ago, we are trying to prepare 3 of our boys for shows and we are looking for a mate for one of them.

The avatar is our girl when she was 3 weeks old.

Edit: Actually, the one at the back on the right also looks like another of mine!
