Posts: 4,561	The pic is of one of the Chinese Elms in the Chinese Pavilion at the U.S. National Arboretum. It is one of the best trees there and shows how figures can add to a composition if properly selected and incorporated. It is BIG---It stands almost four feet tall. The container is antique Chinese marble. If I'm not mistaken, it is a gift from Dr. Wee Yu Sun, a noted bonsaiist.

The picture was taken many years before that, when the secondary trunk was but a tiny sprout. It's interesting to see a "museum piece" grow and change.
